What is Zaapi?

Zaapi is a free-to-use mobile application that allows sellers to create online stores and start selling online within seconds.

Why use Zaapi?

Zaapi makes it possible for anyone to effortlessly create an online store and grow their e-commerce business - say goodbye to spending your time answering customer enquiries, sharing and describing products, manually processing orders, payments and shipping.

How do I use Zaapi?

What is the difference between Zaapi and e-commerce marketplaces like Shopee and Lazada?

Marketplaces do not allow you to own your online sales channel - they allow you to list your catalogue on their platform for customers to see and they charge a transaction fee.We don't do that. Zaapi provides sellers with the tools to build and operate their own sales channel. You can create your online store, customise it however you like and bring your customers to it. We don't take any transaction fee.

What we do is work with you every step of the way to make your e-commerce easy, personalised and successful.

Is Zaapi free?

Zaapi is completely free to use!

In the future, we'll add new features to make your e-commerce even more powerful - and some of those will be paid. But all essential features are free now and always will be.

Do I have to have a registered business entity to use Zaapi?

Not at all - all you need is a phone number and internet connection and you're ready to go!

Is the Zaapi application available on the Apple Store or Play Store?

Yes, Zaapi is available for download both on the Apple Store & Play Store.

Can Zaapi be used for all types of businesses?

Absolutely - you can use Zaapi as long as you have a product or service you wish to sell online. In the future, we'll build more and more and more different versions of the app to fit the specific requirements of different businesses!

Does Zaapi allow me to keep track of my inventory?

Absolutely! When uploading your product, just indicate how much stock you have and we'll keep track of remaining stock for you from there. And if you make a mistake, don't worry! As a seller, you can accept or reject any new orders so you stay in control.

Does Zaapi provide products to sell?

We only provide the tools for you to create and manage your online business. The sourcing and selling of products is in your hands!

Does Zaapi provide different versions of its app for different kinds of businesses?

Yes!

Our initial app contains two versions: one for F&B businesses, one for all for other businesses. For instance, the way you create product variants or product add-ons and save stock quantities will be different for both versions of the app in a way that suits both kinds of business. We'll give you access to one or the other version depending on the information you enter at registration.

Does Zaapi provide me with analytics on my business?

Yes! Zaapi provides you key insights as to the health of your online business including your best selling products, revenue, number of orders and number of store visitors. You can view this information directly on your home page.

Can Zaapi be accessed from a computer?

Can Zaapi be accessed from a computer?

Your store can be viewed from any device. However, our app is currently only available on mobile.

In the future, we'll work to release a desktop version for sellers.

Zaapi Features

How do I add a logo or photo of my business?

You can add the logo of your business when you register and can edit it at any time afterwards by clicking on your logo on the home page.

Can I edit my store link?

Currently, we allow users to edit the part of their store link that comes after "shop.zaapi.com/" as they wish. However, do note that after editing your link, your customers will be unable to access your online store through the old link.

In the future, we'll release a premium version of the app that allows you to fully customise your store link - replace "zaapi" with your own business name!

How can I view my online store?

You can view your store by clicking on the "View Store" button on your store's home page or copy-pasting your store link in your browser.

Does Zaapi enable the creation of product variants (for example, "Colour", "Size")?

Yes!

Does Zaapi enable the creation of product add-ons (for example, "Extra chicken")?

Yes!

Is there a limit to the number of products I can add to a catalogue?

No - you can add as many products as you want.

Can I edit the order in which my products are displayed on my store?

Your products are displayed on your store based on the order of your categories in the "Categories" tab under "Product".

To change the order, go the "Categories" tab and hard press the category you wish to rearrange to change its position in the catalogue. To change the order of your products within each category, click on the desired category card in the "Categories" tab and hard press the product you wish to move to rearrange its position within the category.

Can I create discounts on Zaapi?

Yes! The "Discounts" page allows you to create both coupon codes and automatic discounts.

What is the difference between a coupon code and an automatic discount?

Coupon codes allow users to enter a code upon checkout to avail a discount.

Automatic discounts apply to your store automatically, which means that the users you select will be able to avail the discount without entering any coupon code at checkout.

Can buyers make payments directly on my online store?

We currently do not support payments on online stores. Instead, when you accept your customer's order, we will send your payment details to them automatically and provide them a link to upload their payment receipt. Once they upload their payment receipt, you will be able to view it on the customer's order page and mark the order as paid.

In the near future, we will be working to enable payments directly on your online store.

Does Zaapi provide access to any logistics providers?

We currently do not provide access to any logistics providers through the app. You must therefore arrange the fulfillment of your orders separately. Once you do so, you can select your logistics provider on the customer's order page, input their tracking number and fulfill the order. We'll send the tracking link and tracking number to your customer.

In the near future, we'll be working to connect to logistics providers and enable order fulfillment directly from within the app.

How can customers know which discounts are currently available on my store?

Coupon codes need to be shared with your customers for them to apply the coupons at checkout.

Active automatic discounts appear by default on your store for users to know what promotions you are currently running.

Do my customers get informed of updates to their order?

Your customers are automatically informed via Line whenever you change the status of their order between "New", "Accepted", "Completed" and "Rejected". Customers who do not use Line get informed via SMS.

Other Questions

Can I remove the "Zaapi" banner that appears at the top of the page on my store?

Currently, the only way to remove the "Zaapi" banner from your online store is to refer 3 friends to Zaapi. Head to the "Store" menu and "Refer friends" tab to share your referral link. Successfully get 3 friends onboard and the banner will disappear!

In the future, we'll release a premium version of the app that does not contain a banner.

Can one account be used to create multiple online shops?

Each account is currently limited to one store.

Will there be new features?

Yes! Our mission is to build the go-to digital tool for Southeast Asian businesses and we'll continue to build until we achieve that.

In the short term, connecting with payments and logistics providers within the app is at the top of our list!

How long will it take for me to get a buyer?

Zaapi provides you with the tools to take and manage your business online. Each seller is then responsible for finding their own customers. Need help getting started? Check out our blog on how to advertise your business online!

Is my data safe?

Your data is stored on our servers that use industry-leading encryption and safety standards and it is not shared with any third-party. Your data is safe with us.

Will there be sponsored advertisements displayed on my Zaapi store?

No. Your online store is your own and you control what is displayed on it.

How do I troubleshoot if there is a problem with my Zaapi app?

Try reinstalling your application, and make sure you're running the latest software version of your iPhone or Android device. If the problem persists, reach us at care@zaapi.com, and we'll get back to you as soon as possible.
